Product Description

304 Stainless Steel Tubes, Pipe, Fittings & Flanges

Hebei Zhongji Is A Premier Supplier For Your 304 Stainless Steel Tubes, Pipes, Fittings & Flanges Needs.

The inventory of HZP stainless steel includes alloy 304 (UNS S30400) in plate, sheet and coil, plate, coil, round steel, processed flat steel and tubular products. Alloy 304 is very suitable for home and commercial applications.

304 Stainless Steel General Properties

304 alloy is a kind of T-300 series stainless steel austenite, its chromium content is at least 18%, nickel content is at least 8%. The maximum carbon content of Type 304 is 0.07%. It is the standard "18/8 stainless steel" common in pans and cooking tools. 304 alloy is the most versatile and versatile alloy in the stainless steel series. Alloy 304 is ideal for various household and commercial applications. It has excellent corrosion resistance, easy manufacturing and excellent formability. Austenitic stainless steel is also considered to be the easiest to weld among high alloy steels, and can be welded by all fusion welding and resistance welding processes.

Specification: UNS S30400

304 Stainless Steel Application:

  • Chemistry and petrochemical
  • Processing—pressure vessels, storage tanks, heat exchangers, piping systems, flanges, fittings, valves and pumps
  • Food and beverage processing
  • Medical
  • Mining
  • Petroleum refining
  • Pharmaceutical processing
  • Power generation-nuclear
  • Pulp and paper

304 Stainless Steel Standard:

ASTM / ASME: UNS S30400 / S30403
EURONORM: 1.4301 / 1.4303
AFNOR: Z5 CN 18.09 / Z2 CN 18.10
DIN: X5 CrNi 18 10 / X2 CrNi 19 11

304 Stainless Steel Corrosion Resistance:

Alloy 304 contains 9 to 11% nickel, so it has resistance to moderately aggressive organic acids.
The 304 alloy contains 18% to 19% chromium, which is the result of its anti-corrosion performance in an oxidizing environment.
It can be considered that 304, 304L and 304H have uniform performance in most corrosive environments.

304 Stainless Steel Heat Resistance:

If subsequent water corrosion resistance is important, it is recommended not to use 304 continuously in the temperature range of 800-1580°F.
It has good oxidation resistance in both intermittent work at 1600°F and continuous work at 1690°F.
